Who this is between
These terms govern your use of Lean Protocol, an Ardenholt programme operated by Ruzylo Cloud, LLC ("we", "us"). Using Lean Protocol means you agree to them.
The service
Lean Protocol is software provided as-is. We work to keep it running and useful, but we offer no uptime guarantee and no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where the law requires one.
Not medical advice
Lean Protocol records what you enter. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, it is not a medical device, and it is not a party to your prescription. Your clinician sets your medication, your dose, and your titration schedule; talk to them before you start, stop, or change anything, and never set aside professional advice because of something you read here.
We make no claim or promise about how much weight you will lose, how quickly, or whether you will keep it off. Nothing in the app, on this site, or in our writing should be read as one.
If you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 — or your local emergency number — now. Severe or persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, and severe abdominal pain, particularly pain that radiates to the back, are reasons to seek care rather than to wait for the next appointment.
What you pay, and what that buys
The web notebook is free, permanently, with no account and no card. Membership is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with seven days free for new members first, and it buys account sync and the iOS app when it ships.
There is one tier. Nothing was removed from the free notebook to create the paid one, and there is no higher tier holding a better version of your own record.
- The web notebook: free, permanently, no account and no card.
- The paper tracker: free to print and free to copy.
- Membership: $14.99 a month, or $99.99 a year.
- Seven days free for new members, then it renews until you stop it.
- Thirty days, money back, no reasons needed.
The thirty-day guarantee
Thirty days, money back, on every platform, with no exceptions and no reasons asked. This is a term of the programme, not a courtesy we may withdraw.
Bought from us: write to privacy@ruzylo.dev and the payment comes back. Bought through Apple: Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com under its own policy — and if Apple declines inside our thirty days, write to us and we make it right ourselves.
Your log is unaffected either way, because on the web notebook it was never anywhere but your device.
Auto-renewing membership on the App Store
The iOS membership is an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple. The mechanics are Apple's and they are stated here in full rather than summarised.
- Length and price: monthly at $14.99, or annual at $99.99. Both include seven days free for new subscribers, offered as an Apple ID introductory offer.
- The free trial: nothing is charged during the seven days. Cancel before it ends — Settings, then your Apple ID, then Subscriptions — and nothing is charged at all.
- Charging: payment is taken by your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the trial if it was not cancelled.
- Renewal: it renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- The renewal charge: taken within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price disclosed when you subscribed.
- Managing and cancelling: in Account Settings on the App Store. The current period cannot be cut short, but a cancelled membership does not renew.
- Refunds through Apple: requested at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple's policy — and see the thirty-day guarantee above if Apple declines inside our window.
Your account, if you ever make one
You do not need an account to use Lean Protocol. The web notebook and the paper tracker ask for nothing at all.
An account exists to prove what you own and, if you turn it on, to sync between your own devices. Your record is yours; the account holds your membership, not your medical life. Where the log stays on-device — which is the default and is the whole of the web notebook — we run no server holding it, which means we cannot read it, restore it, or hand it to anyone who asks.
If you do make one, keep your sign-in private, and tell us at privacy@ruzylo.dev if you believe it has been misused.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Lean Protocol to harm anyone.
- Do not break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law permits it.
- Do not use it for spam, harassment, or anything illegal.
- Do not present its output as a clinical record, a diagnosis, or advice from us.
Ending it
You can stop using Lean Protocol whenever you like. Cancel the membership in the App Store or by writing to us, and ask for deletion under the privacy sheet at any time. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken, with notice where that is feasible.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law permits, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of Lean Protocol is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located there.
Changes
If we make a material change we will update this sheet and the effective date at its head, and write once to anyone on the register. Continuing to use Lean Protocol after a change means you accept it.
